HERITAGE CENTRE

The Heritage Centre is delighted to have been awarded a Heritage Lottery Fund grant of £50,000. This is 89% of a total project cost of £56,181 for its plan to update the centre and expand learning and outreach to the local community by means of an oral history project, interactive displays and a publication.

Chairman, Dave Chambers:

“We are absolutely delighted to receive the Heritage Lottery Fund award. The Heritage Centre is a success story for the local community. We have 50 volunteers already helping and many others supporting us and we look forward to making our resources more attractive and relevant to visitors.

In the meantime, we would always welcome more volunteers to help with the new projects!”
